La Playa - Sun and shade terraces, neighborly pelicans, and a menu of seafood, Mexican specialties, sandwiches, and salads draw guests.  Lunch only.

 Designed by world famous architect Javier Sordo Madaleno, The award winning design encompasses the desert terrain and its red stone structure forms an arch that echoes the curve of the beach.

Padded lounges provide sunbathing comfort. Farther along the beach are two quiet pools overlooking the beach, and another pool is secluded on the mountainside. The beach is long and broad, but safe swimming days are few due to strong undercurrents.

The 237-room, eight-story Sun Palace features a heated, open-air, semi-indoor pool, with sauna and steam room adjacent. A fitness center supplies aerobic and weight machines.
