Soul-stirring cities, world famous art,
waist-expanding food and wine – this trip to Italy will
captivate you from the word go. We whisk you off to Venice, a
must is a romantic gondola ride through its shimmering canals.
City of canals and gondolas, masquerades and balls, palazzos,
piazzas and pizzas. With over-the-top architecture, the
ethereal, colorful Venetian glass and ubiquitous and fantastical
masks. Plus having waterways instead of roads and the complete
absence of vehicles lends a surreal and other-worldly atmosphere
to the City of Water. Escaping to Venice is like stepping out of
reality and into a world of fantasy and frivolity.
Next stop: Florence - Tuscany's number one city is a Medieval
masterpiece with its old piazzas, elaborate churches and
treasure-filled palaces. The city of Michelangelo and the
Medici, Florence will attack all your senses and leave you
gasping…"bellissima, magnifica"! In fact, it has
more artwork per square mile than any other city in the world,
so you've got culture and history around every corner. It's home
to the massive green, white and pink-marbled Duomo Cathedral.
But the city; Florence, isn't all about Medieval charms. Its'
art and architecture might scream of old-world glamour, but the
city's shopping, dining and nightlife scenes sit firmly in the
21st century.
Cameras ready? and best foot forward - you're on to one of the
greatest cities on earth – Rome, where the Vatican, the
Coliseum and the Trevi Fountain are waiting to wow you. Rome
will surely captivate you, enchant you and turn you into a
complete Italianophile. The Eternal City is also the City of
Seven Hills, so make sure you're rearing to go when you set out
on a journey of discovery around Italy's incredible capital. The
city within the ancient walls is bursting with original classics
from the Coliseum to the Forum, the Pantheon to the Catacombs.
Renaissance and Baroque influence is around every corner, kept
alive in another list of illustrious sights…the Piazzo del
Campidoglio by Michelangelo, countless palazzos and more
majestic piazzas. Plus the famous Trevi fountain and Spanish
Steps. Head spinning yet? Did I mention Michelangelo? He's not
the only artist represented in the numerous galleries, museums
and buildings of Rome. Da Vinci, Raphael, Boticelli and more
have left their mark. And the food? Don't get me started!

That's right! No Oil Balls, No Tar Balls, just a

A vacation in Clearwater means sun, sand, and
seashells. Fun in the Clearwater sun includes sunbathing on
white sandy beaches, diving into a game of beach volleyball,
renting fishing boats, taking a dolphin-watching cruise, or
parasailing. The Marine Aquarium features otters, sea turtles,
sharks, and stingrays. And the Public Beach, also known as Pier
60, is a beach lover’s paradise, with white sands and gentle
waves for excellent swimming.
Sunsets are a nightly celebration at Clearwater
Beach. Two hours before the sun sinks into the Gulf of Mexico
people flock to Pier 60 to salute the setting of the Florida
sun. Local artisans and crafters offer handmade treasures and
street performers display spectacular feats of skill while you
sink your feet into the sand and dance to the rhythm of live
music flowing from Pier 60 Pavilion.
Pier 60 offers beach volleyball, lifeguards,
playgrounds, restrooms, showers, concessions, a fishing pier,
and a bait-and-tackle shop. Head to the ocean end of Bay
Esplanade for quieter diversions like shell collecting. Or jog
or walk on the wide beach at Sand Key Park, on the northern tip
of Sand Key facing Clearwater Beach. Nearby the Clearwater Beach
Marina provides boating cruises, water sports rentals, and other
water activities.
Just north of Clearwater, Caladesi Island State
Park is on a 3.5-mile islet, accessible only by ferry. This is
perhaps the finest Clearwater Florida beach and an ideal spot
for bird watching, shell collecting, and saltwater fishing. The
park is made up of soft sand dunes covered in sea oats and
palmettos, and is brimming with wildlife. Dolphins and sea
turtles swim offshore.($49tax)828

Step out of the urban energy of the trendy
Dupont Circle neighborhood and into your private, yet remarkably
affordable, downtown hideaway. The Carlyle Suites Hotel unites
classic style with a contemporary renovation to create a truly
out-of-the-ordinary hotel experience. Each Studio Suite is
custom designed, combining classic art-deco finishes with fresh
features; tempurpedic beds, fully equipped kitchens, work spaces
with dual line cordless phones, high-speed Internet access and
bath and living areas with accents in granite and stainless
steel. The Carlyle Suites' location makes it readily convenient
to all that Washington, DC has to offer for both business and
pleasure. With a taxi stand right outside the front door, the
Metro's Red Line just three blocks away, and so many attractions
within walking distance, you can easily see the whole town!
Touch a moon rock, marvel at the Hope Diamond,

culture at the Smithsonian Institution’s fifteen Washington, DC
area facilities. Discover treasures like the Gutenberg Bible at
the Library of Congress, the only da Vinci painting in North
America at the National Gallery of Art and historic documents
like the Declaration of Independence at the National Archives.
Foremost is the George Washington Monument, a
500 feet tall obelisk visible from 30 miles away, while the
Lincoln Memorial celebrates the revered 16th President, seated
and steady of gaze at the end of the National Mall. Such sights
add to the grandeur of Washington DC and formed the backdrop to
the emotional inauguration of President Barack Obama when he
assumed office on 20th January 2009 before crowds over a
million-strong.
Why not start your Washington holiday with a
tour from Union Station, itself a grand ceremonial building with
upscale shopping, restaurants and bars. A half day tour would
familiarize you with the DC area. Explore the city highlights
such as the White House, the War Memorials, FBI Headquarters and
Embassy Row. The major landmarks are predominantly linked by
green spaces with foot and bike paths, making a "Bike the
Sights" tour an ideal way for the more energetic to see the
city! The central business district turns rather quiet when the
government workers call it a day. This is the time to head for
areas like Georgetown and Adams Morgan with their trendy
eateries, wine bars, jazz clubs and late night book stores. ($59

Honolulu, Hawaii's capital and largest city, is
known for more than just sun, beach, and surf. Honolulu has
wonderful museums, attractions, and historic monuments such as
the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial, Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, and
Queen Emma Summer Palace that provide great alternatives to the
beach. And if that is not enough, there are plenty of other
things to do – including tours to historic Pearl Harbor or
lovely Waimea Falls Park, where you can watch daredevil locals
diving from the towering cliffs which surround the spectacular
waterfall into the churning waters below.
Ohana Waikiki West is one of our favorite
moderate hotels in Waikiki,. It is located directly behind the
Famous International Marketplace. This popular hotel offers a
slew of services, including a pool overlooking the street, a
sundeck and coin-operated laundry. Add a little spice to your
meals at Chili's Grill & Bar, then kick up your heals with some
terrific country-western music at Nashville Waikiki.
Although the Waikiki West is a 2 block walk to
the beach, it is still in the center of everything. Centrally
located on Kuhio Avenue between Nahua Street and Walina Street,
the International Market Place is just steps away. It's a
5-minute walk to Kalakaua Avenue, and a 15-minute walk to
Kapiolani Park, Honolulu Zoo, and Waikiki Aquarium.
If you've never padded onto a glittering,
white-sand Maui beach, prepare yourself for the premiere
tropical vacation of a lifetime -- and don't be surprised if
this intoxicating isle pads its way into your heart. That's a
fancy way of saying that you can't visit Maui just once. You'll
be back! If swimming beneath waterfalls and participating in a
spontaneous sand-castle competitions don't entice you, hop in
your rental car and explore the island. Brimming with posh
resorts and hotels, incredible dining and exciting activities,
it almost seems impossible that the island could hold any more
beauty and pleasure.
Ah, but we didn't mention the beaches. Like
beauty queens who rack up titles, Maui's red- white-and black
sand beaches are consistently listed as "best beach" of
just-name-a-year in the anointed circles that determine such
things. In fact, when you first arrive on Maui, you'll see a
sign in the airport informing visitors that Conde Nast Traveler
voted Maui the best island in the world to visit. There you have
it.
Location, location, location!!! Wake up in the
morning at the Royal Kahana and "wa-la!" you are ocean side.
Have your first coffee on the lanai not 50 feet from the water
while listening to the soft lapping of the waves and enjoying
Maui's cool trade winds - mmmm heaven!
The Royal Kahana is a low rise, low density complex. Peaceful
and well-manicured grounds keep you out of the crowded hotel
scene. All of Maui's most cherished activities are just minutes
away. Shopping, along with fine and casual dining, are within
walking distance.($79 tax)
Just a call (or e-mail) away and this can be your vacation of
choice! Kauai is the most lush and tropical of all of the
Hawaiian Islands. Waterfalls cascade onto the valley floor from
tall, mist-shrouded peaks, and rivers crisscross the island.
Kauai is blessed with white beaches and stunning natural beauty,
and it offers a wide selection of sports and activities.
Hawaii's foremost hiking and sailing destination can be found on
the northwest Na Pali Coast, whose jagged cliffs, deserted
beaches, and crystalline water truly define the perfect Island
experience.
Experience all the charms Hawaii has to offer at
the Aloha Beach hotel, nestled between the verdant east coast of
Kauai and the sacred Wailua River. This luxury Kauai Hawaii
beach hotel and resort is the perfect place for your romantic
vacation in Hawaii. This luxury Hawaii hotel, surrounded by
picturesque views, boasts Kauai's only protected swimming and
snorkeling beach. In addition, two swimming pools, Jacuzzi,
fitness room, tennis, volleyball and shuffleboard are a few of
the amenities available to our guests to ensure a pleasant
Hawaiian vacation. With a central location on the island, this
destination resort in Hawaii provides easy access to the Lihu’e
airport, local shopping, Kamalani Playground, Lydgate Beach Park
and other popular attractions.

furnishings; you'll find this Hawaiian resort is set on 10 lush
acres between Lydgate Beach Park on Wailua Bay and the Wailua
River. You can take advantage of the resort’s recreational
offerings and the wide expanse of beach, protected swimming
coves, and playground at Lydgate Beach Park.
Nearby golf courses include two Jack
Nicklaus-designed 18-hole courses at Kauai Lagoons and the
18-hole Puakea Golf Course, both a 15-minute drive away in
Lihue. Wailua River boating excursions (surcharge) to the Fern
Grotto depart from a launch site within a 10-minute drive of the
resort. Kauai has some of the world's best golf courses with
green fees from discount to resort. When making a reservation
